Residents of the Quibiri Mission Samaritan Center in Benson, Arizona, last week, were treated to a performance of Christmas music presented by a group of girls, ages 8 to 11, from the Saint David Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as students from Saint David High School. The chorus was accompanied by Suzie Webb, a leader of the girls’ group.
The program included traditional Christmas carols as well as modern favorites. Flutists, Savannah Anderson and Amy Barretto accompanied one of the numbers. Solos were performed by Sydney Haynie, Cyrena Higginbotham, and Addy Buhler.
At the conclusion of the program, the residents were given Christmas pictures drawn by the Primary children of the Saint David Ward. As Clarissa Preston, one of the young participants said, “It was fun learning the songs and giving service to others.”
